Data Integration

I combined the district data and students’ score data using R

For each student, I calculated the separate and combined score improvement compared to the score he got after the last program he participated in.  I also added a column named “program_number”, which means this is the second/ third… program he has taken.

For each district, I calculated the total score improvement, the average number of programs taken per student, the average intake score, and the utilization of tutoring per student.

For objective 1, I used statistical analysis to understand the Student Achievement by Program and District. Exploratory Data Analysis

For objective 2, I used marginal analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of three programs.
